Hi!
Thanks for taking time to find out a little bit about me!
I joined the team at ABC7 in August 2017, moving in from Lawton, Oklahoma, where I worked for another Channel 7, KSWO-TV, for 31 years.
I was born and raised in Oklahoma and went to the University of Oklahoma with an eye on getting a job in the medical field. But, after working part-time in a hospital, that dream lost its appeal, and I remembered those days as a kid, sitting in front of the television, doing play-by-play of a football game into a tape recorder, and decided I should give that a try. I switched majors, began working at the campus radio station, doing daily sportscasts, and play-by-play of OU Sooner football and basketball, and I was hooked.
After graduation, I moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas to start my career as a sports anchor.
After a couple of years there, I was hired as sports director in Lawton, and then promoted to news anchor, before getting the call to come to the Panhandle.
I like Seinfeld, classic movies, playing golf (even though I’m not very good!), traveling, and discovering great places to eat that are off the beaten path. So, if you have any suggestions about restaurants, places to visit, how to make more putts, a must-see film, yada-yada-yadagive me a call here at the station, or find me on Facebook. I’d love to hear from you!
