Two teenagers are accused of stealing $1,000,000 from a Walmart in West Texas.

Carmelo Amigleo and Ryan Munoz were arrested Sunday by police in San Angelo. They are charged with theft greater than$300,000.

It's not clear if the theft involved merchandise, money or both, but Police Chief Travis Griffith told San Angelo LIVE! a total of $1,051,000 had been stolen.

Police would also not say if the suspects were employees.

The investigation began July 23 when SAPD detectives were notified about a "large-scale and ongoing theft" at a Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Police said the theft happened over the course of the past year.

Detectives executed search warrants on the suspects' homes Sunday, resulting in the discovery of "various pieces of evidence and proceeds related to the crime."

Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to call Concho Valley Crime Stoppers at 325-658-HELP.
